From the time I can remember there was always the smell of photo chemicals in my home in Northern Utah, where Dad, Ariel Benson, had a darkroom and photo studio in the basement. He was my first and most memorable teacher and mentor.

From my early years I have been a creator of images. The need to create influenced my professional journey. I feel a great sense of fulfillment when people love their portraits and share them with others.
